Though a well established brand within the Roast & Ground sector, traditionally UK’s coffee drinkers opted for instant for ease at home and kept the real stuff for dinner parties. The need to educate on the different ways of preparing coffee and helping understand their range of blends would help expand usage. Lavazza was also late to enter the established pod market. Convincing pod users to switch to the A Modo Mio machines was essential to protect Lavazza’s brand standing.
Famous for their extravagant yearly calenders, Lavazza has always been synonymous with Italy and style. Fountain exploited this rich source of imagery with themed cafés at UK’s most prestigious events making sure that Lavazza was the name and coffee on everyone’s lips. Here visitors not only could experience the great taste of Lavazza made by an expert team of baristas but watch demonstrations on the different ways to make coffee and be introduced to the A Modo Mio capsule range. Venues included Henley Festival, Wimbledon Tennis, The Edinburgh Fringe, Bath & West Show and the London Fashion Week to name a few.
